British Emma Raducanu is looking for a new coach after her previous coach Dmitry Tursunov exits. Tursunov opted not to extend their trial period into a long-term association. In less than two years, the British player is looking for her fifth coach, and she has worked with more than four coaches during this time.
Emma also added Jez Green, the former fitness coach of Andy Murray, to her coaching staff to fix her injury problems and make her a machine.
Emma began her work with Tursunov, who is the Russian former top-20 player, in the summer. She left working with Tursunov, a controversial move that has given the political situation in eastern Europe. Emma is ready to appoint a new coach for her best performance in the 2023 season.
Emma, who is 19 years old, in her short tennis career, has shown a willingness to change coaches regularly. When Emma won the 2021 US Open, she stopped working with her coach Andrew Richardson.
After stopping working with Richardson, Emma then hired the German coach Torben Beltz, with whom she worked until April this year. After Torben, Emma hired Tursunov as her coach, and now again, for the fourth time, she left him. Now, British Emma is searching for a new coach with whom she can work perfectly and win titles.
Meanwhile, in Spain, at the Gijon Open, Murray returned to action with a victory over Alejandro Davidovich Fokina. Murray missed last week’s Astana Open through illness, and in his match against Fokina, he made a slow start but found his form to record a 7-5, 6-2 win.
